Announcing Rally Point, The Austin Ramsey Foundation

The Ramsey family is proud to announce the launch of Rally Point: The Austin Ramsey Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting veterans and first responders facing the challenges of work-related trauma.  Founded in loving memory of Austin Ramsey, a former Army Ranger who served in Afghanistan, and El Dorado County Sheriff’s Deputy who tragically died by suicide on October 14, 2021, the foundation seeks to bring awareness, provide critical assistance, and offer hope to those who serve our communities and country.

Austin Ramsey dedicated his life to serving others, both in the military and as a law enforcement officer.  His commitment and sacrifice touched many lives.  The Ramsey family established Rally Point to honor his memory and continue his legacy of service by addressing the critical needs of those who often silently struggle.

Rally Point will focus on:

• Suicide Prevention and Awareness: Raising awareness about the prevalence of suicide among veterans and first responders and working to destigmatize seeking help.
• Work-related trauma: Providing resources and programs to help veterans and first responders manage the unique stressors associated with their professions.
• Resource Connection: Connecting veterans and first responders and their families with vital resources, including mental health services, financial assistance, and peer support networks.
• Family Support: Recognizing the impact on families and offering support and resources to loved ones of veterans and first responders.

Rally Point is committed to working collaboratively with existing organizations and community partners to maximize its impact.  The foundation is currently developing a range of programs and initiatives to address the specific needs of veterans and first responders.

The Ramsey family invites the community to join them in supporting Rally Point’s mission.  Donations, volunteer support, and community partnerships are all essential to the foundation’s success.
